New Oil Palm Discussion Forum

Oil palm growers are often working in remote places with limited access to information. However, more and more plantations are establishing internet connections via satellite at their estates which offers tremendous opportunities for IPNI to better serve this specific audience. In late 2008, IPNI therefore launched its new Oil Palm Forum (>http://forum.ipni.net/oilpalm<) providing planters with a market place to exchange ideas and experiences. We are working with oil palm experts from around the world to serve as moderators for key topics that we have identified for this Forum. While the focus will be on practical issues related to oil palm agronomy, we hope that the Forum will be widely used by planters and researchers from all over the world within a year’s time.
